Canning Salsa at Readington Brewery 9/17
Join Rebecca from Three Birds Farm for an evening of seasonal cooking, canning, and hands-on learning at Readington Brewery & Hop Farm!
In this workshop, guests will learn the art of making homemade shelf-stable salsa using fresh seasonal garden vegetables. Together, we will transform late-summer harvests into delicious salsa while learning traditional water-bath canning techniques and food preservation methods that can be used at home for stocking pantry shelves through the winter months.
During class, participants will:
• Learn the fundamentals of safe home canning and food preservation
• Use fresh garden vegetables to create homemade shelf-stable salsa
• Learn how to preserve seasonal harvests for winter pantry stock
• Take home two jars of homemade salsa
• Receive recipe booklets with step-by-step instructions and recipes
• Enjoy one complimentary beer ticket included with admission
